THE STUDENT AND THE UNIVERSITY 

A. 共同的责任. By enrolling at the University of Idaho, students voluntarily accept responsibility for compliance with all university policies as well as local ordinances, 国家法律, 以及联邦法律. Each student shall be responsible for his/her conduct at all times from the time the university grants admission through the actual awarding of a degree. This includes the period before classes begin or after classes end, periods between terms of actual enrollment. Conduct that is not discovered until after a degree is awarded is also included.  

The university's part is to carry out its commitment to higher education, to fulfill its responsibilities in pursuit of the academic goals 和 objectives of all members of the university community, to meet its obligation to provide an atmosphere in which students will have an opportunity to be heard in matters affecting their welfare. The university reserves the right to take necessary 和 appropriate action to protect the safety 和 well-being of the campus community. Students shall have the rights 和 responsibilities outlined in this policy 和 in FSH 2200 和 2300

B. 学生价值观陈述 (passed by ASUI Senate in April 2014). The Statement of Student Values is a step toward formally conveying our common University of Idaho educational 和 community goals. The Statement articulates the community we aspire to be, 表达我们共同的价值观, 把我们团结成汪达尔人, encourages collaboration with faculty, 职员及行政部门. 

We come together as V和als, a diverse community embracing individuality 和 striving for equity. We hold each other accountable to conduct ourselves with integrity 和 honesty, to foster excellence in education both in 和 outside the classroom, to treat each other with respect. 

C. 管辖范围内. Disciplinary action may be taken for (1) any violation of local ordinances, state or federal law; (2) on campus conduct that violates the Student Code of Conduct; 和 (3) off campus conduct that violates the Student Code of Conduct 和 that adversely affects the university community or the pursuit of the university's educational mission, 过程, 或函数, as determined by the 教务长. Students may be subject to civil 和 criminal penalties in addition to any university sanctions for the same violation. University proceedings may occur before, 在, or after any civil or criminal actions are concluded 和 are not subject to challenge based on the action or inaction of any non-university authorities.
